Video: Super Eagles return to Abuja after Ghana stalemate

The three-time African champions found the going tough in Kumasi bought returned home with their dignity still intact

The Super Eagles have landed safely in Abuja in the early hours of Saturday, March 26, after playing out a 0-0 draw with Ghana’s Black Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Ghana put behind their poor performance at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon in January, to mount relentless pressure on the Super Eagles in front of thousands of vociferous fans inside the 40,000-capacity stadium in Kumasi.

But the Eagles, following impressive displays from goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, fullback Ola Aina, and centre-back Leon Balogun, held their own to force a draw.

The three-time African champions could have even snatched a late win, but Moses Simon hit his shot straight at the Black Stars goalkeeper when well placed.
