Super Eagles player ratings vs Lesotho: Subpar Iheanacho; Impressive Semi Ajayi

Super Eagles of Nigeria were held to a 1-1 draw against the Crocodiles of Lesotho in their opening 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification tie, Soccernet.ng reports.

With a good cross from the corner kick by Tshwarelo Bereng, Motlomelo Mkwanazi took the lead for Leslie Notsi’s troops in the 56th minutes stunning the Nigerian fans.

Meanwhile, West Bromwich Albion defender, Semi Ajayi, leveled the score line to save Jose Peseiro’s men from humiliation.

Francis Uzoho (7/10)

The Super Eagles goalkeeper impressed better than the his last game for Nigeria, saved a few shots, and could cover some spaces. Although, the goal scored by Lesotho could still be saved, but he cannot be totally blamed for the costly error.

Bright Osayi-Samuel (7/10)

The Fenerbahce man played a key role manning the defense and pushing forward, although his positioning wasn’t really connecting with some players on the pitch
