The Super Eagles star will play with his countrymen, Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis, after penning a one-year deal

Super Eagles stars, Kenneth Omeruo, Emmanuel Dennis, William Troost-Ekong, Terem Moffi, and others have taken to their social media platform to react to Nottingham Forest’s signing of Ola Aina, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Nigerian star recently signed a one-year contract with Forest after departing from Torino, where he spent nearly five years and made 102 appearances in Serie A.

Following the news, the Nigerian international was tagged in a post by Nottingham Forest on their social media platform, which sparked excitement among the fans and his countrymen.

Not to forget that the 26-year-old has a remarkable resume, having won two FA Youth Cups, two UEFA Youth League championships, and a U21 Premier League crown while playing for Stamford Bridge. He began his football career at Chelsea’s academy.

Aina played for England at various ages before deciding to represent Nigeria in 2017 and has since amassed 30 caps for the Super Eagles.

The British-Nigerian made 33 appearances for Fulham, where he made an impression. He also displayed his talent with a magnificent shot, leading to a nomination for the Premier League Goal of the Season Award.

His fellow countrymen Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis, who joined the Tricky Trees during the previous summer transfer window, would now share the same shirt with him.

Expressing his joy at the transfer deal on social media, the former Watford forward, Dennis, reacted by saying “Naija boy” with the fire and love emoji. While Terem Moffi referred to him as “Mr Lulu”.

Super Eagles vice-captain William Troost-Ekong who is also among the Nigerian players to switch clubs this summer, also congratulated him, “Congrats, my bro”, he wrote. While Kenneth Omeruo, who captained the Super Eagles of Nigeria against Guinea-Bissau and Sierra Leone, expressed his joy, “Yaaaazzzzzzz”, he wrote with a clapping emoji.

Nottingham, having defeated Levante in a club-friendly match yesterday, will be looking to build on their victory when they face Leeds United on Thursday, July 27. However, Aina is expected to debut for the club, and kick-start an impressive run for the Tricky Trees.
