‘Ghana go collect’- Reactions pour in after Ghana release squad for game against Nigeria

Reactions have continued to pour in since the Ghanaian Football Association released their 27-man squad for the game against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

As part of their antics, albeit laughable, the Ghanaian FA opted to make known the names of invited players barely three days to the first leg of the crucial World Cup qualifier. Of the ten teams vying for the five tickets to Qatar, the Black stars were the last to release their squad list.

However, despite the delay, the list has been greeted by many criticisms, as many feel some players who should be there are not.

Ghanaian legend and record goalscorer Asamoah Gyan was left frustrated by the exclusion of Anderlecht midfielder Majeed Ashimeru. Gyan believes the 24-year-old is currently the second-best midfielder that Ghana has.

Nonetheless, other Ghanaians were optimistic, stating their belief in the teamโ€™s chances of ousting the Super Eagles.

On the other hand, Nigerians have berated the Black Stars for the lack of known stars.
