“Well deserved”- Ighalo, Ahmed Musa, Obafemi Martins, Iheanacho, and others congratulate Osimhen

Osimhen has notched 22 goals out of Napoli’s 69 goal total this season, and his contribution has been essential to Napoli’s Serie A victory

Odion Ighalo, Ahmed Musa, Obafemi Martins, Kelechi Iheanacho, and other well-known football players have joined the worldwide celebration of their fellow countryman Victor Osimhen in light of his recent achievements.

The Nigerian star fired the Neapolitans to a Serie A title triumph with his strike in the 52nd minute at the at Dacia Arena.

Following this, an array of Nigerian players from various leagues flocked to his comment section to congratulate him on adding a new medal to his collection and joining Obafemi Martins to become the second Nigerian to have won the Italian Serie A.

Unmarked Sandi Lovric scored from inside the penalty area for Udinese in the 13th minute to spoil Napoli’s jubilation and put Luciano Spalletti’s squad on the back foot.

Following that, Nigerian star Osimhen had multiple opportunities to score for Napoli, but he misdirected two headers—one to the far post and one into Marco Silvestri’s hands.

Seven minutes into the game, following Spalletti’s pep talk, Osimhen scored the vital goal that ended their 33-year scudetto wait. The Super Eagles striker slammed the ball into the upper left corner of the goal after Marco Silvestri palmed Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s low shot into his path.

The ecstatic Osimhen stated on Instagram, “Dear Napolitans, The Scudetto Has Been Delivered!!! Now We Feast!” on his social media feed, along with a visual of himself, his teammate, and the trophy.

Al Hilal forward, Odion Ighalo, revealed that the Nigerian deserved the victory by replying with, “Congrats my goal machine. Well deserved”. While Ahmed Musa, Obafemi Martins, and Moses Simon rolled out their “Congratulations” to their Super Eagles teammate.

Kelechi Iheanacho, who has been absent from the Leicester City squad, was present in Osimhen’s comment section as he replied with a one-word reaction, “Ajegunle”, which reminds the Super Eagles striker of his root.

The Nigerian star will attempt to surpass George Weah’s 23-year-old Serie A record when his club plays Fioretina and four other teams in their last five games of the current campaign.
