Victor Osimhen fires a warning message to Salernitana after Cremonese loss

The Parthenopeans were eliminated from the Coppa Itallia after Davide Ballardini’s team beat Napoli in the manager’s first match in command.

Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, sends a warning message to Salernitana ahead of their game on Saturday.

The striker revealed that his team are working very hard to put Cremonese defeat behind them after they were shown the exit door at the Coppa Italia.

Recall that the Nigerian striker was a substitute as they were held to a 2-2 draw in the first 90 minutes before his team was defeated on penalties.

The Super Eagles forward have nonetheless stated that the squad is training extremely hard for their next encounter, which will take place on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the Diego Maradona Stadium between the league-leading Napoli and the Garnets.

Osimhen highlighted that clubs make errors and work to rectify them just like any other team in an interview with Radio Goal, live on Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“This is football. We just have to look at our mistakes and try to correct them, we are working very hard to put this defeat behind us and to better prepare ourselves for the match against Salernitana, we are ready for this match”. he said.

There is no such thing as a “small team,” just as most teams in many European top divisions. Osimhen has disclosed, however, that the match against Davide Nicola’s squad will not come easy, but the Parthenopeans will be aiming for all three points.

“I believe that in Serie A no team can be defined as big or small, there can be surprises in every match. It will certainly not be easy, we absolutely want to win. We respect our opponents, but we have our own strategy, and we want to get the 3 points.” he added.

Meanwhile, the Neapolitans will be aiming for their 16th victory when they lock horns with the Salerno-based club.
