Francis Uzoho has previously received backing from the Super Eagles' head coach, Jose Peseiro, but this might not last for long.
Reports suggest that Super Eagles manager Jose Peseiro is working on resolving the team's goalkeeper situation as they prepare for the Africa Cup of Nations tournament, Soccernet.ng reports.
Francis Uzoho, Peseiro's primary goalkeeper, has faced scrutiny due to recent performances, raising doubts among Nigerian fans about his readiness for significant challenges.
The Portuguese gaffer, as well as Kenneth Omeruo, has previously backed the 25-year-old goalkeeper despite the questions in the Nigerian football community.
But his errors against Mozambique, Lesotho, and notably against Ghana in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifies, have sparked concerns about his capability, which Peseiro, who has previously backed him, is sorting for solutions.
