The two-time African Champions started on a good note, defeating Zambia in their first game. But this time, a first-half own goal by Tochukwu Ogbadibo ensured that they left without a point.

Richard Odoh 7/10: Odoh had a decent outing. Asides from the goal he conceded, he was quite impressive. He made some timely saves in the second half and had a good command of his area.
Jeremiah Olaleke 6.5/10: The defender had a good showing in defense. He was caught wanting a few times especially when the Golden Eaglets went looking for the equalizer, but his teammates covered for him.
Tochukwu Ogboji 6/10: Ogboji’s mistake caused the goal, but he was able to pick himself up and had a decent game afterward.
Emmanuel Michael 6.5/10: Michael was also good. He won most of his duels, but he made a few mistakes. However, none of them cost the team.
Yahaya Lawali 6.5/10: He often ventured forward to support the attack, but he could not create much. He was strong whenever the Moroccans came visiting.
Tochukwu Ogbadibo 6/10: Ogbadibo had a decent game, but he did not create much in midfield. He was taken off at halftime as coach Nduka Ugbade was looking to switch things up.
Hope Linus 6.5/10: Linus was solid for the Golden Eaglets. He was a bully in midfield, and his ball recovery was top-notch.
Precious Williams 6/10: He had a few chances at goal, but his final touch failed him. He also created a few chances, but they were unable to convert.
Abubakar Abdullahi 6.7/10: Abdullahi had a good game. He tried to create openings from the right wing, and he had a few looks on goal, but he failed to convert.
Usman Owoyemi 6/10: Owoyemi had a good game. He created a few chances and was good with his ball recovery.
Favour Daniel 6/10: Daniel was lively, but he was profligate in front of goal. He had loads of chances to score, but he failed to capitalize.
