Super Eagles vice-captain, William Troost-Ekong, has recently finalized a move to Greek professional football club PAOK, signing a three-year contract, Soccernet.ng reports.

Coincidentally, PAOK, known as the Double-Headed Eagle of the North, prominently features a two-headed eagle in its logo, which aligns perfectly with Troost-Ekong’s fondness for eagles.

An image of the former Watford star’s tattoo, depicting a specific date alongside an eagle image, recently went viral, leaving football fans intrigued.

In an exclusive interview with Soccernet.ng prior to sealing the deal, Troost-Ekong shed light on the meaning behind his tattoo.

“The date on my tattoo represents the date of my debut for the Super Eagles, and the eagle is for the Super Eagles.” he said.
