“There’s talk of 220 million euros” – Agent discusses Victor Osimhen’s summer transfer

It is no longer news that Napoli’s goal-king Victor Osimhen has become a target for some of the biggest clubs in Europe, with Chelsea, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid all interested in securing his services.

Soccernet.ng reports that Osimhen’s exceptional performances this season, which saw him score 23 goals in Serie A, were instrumental in guiding Napoli to their first Scudetto title in 33 years.

While Osimhen, a fans favourite in Naples, dreams of playing in the Premier League, Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis is keen to retain the Nigerian forward.

De Laurentiis believes Osimhen can play a crucial role in the club’s pursuit of defending their league title and challenging for the Champions League next season.

The astute businessman is even reportedly willing to review the club’s salary structure to satisfy the financial demands of extending Osimhen’s contract.

De Laurentiis has expressed his desire for Osimhen to remain in Naples, emphasizing his importance to the team’s strength and his significant contribution, which renowned player agent Fulvio Marrucco agrees with.

In a recent interview on Radio Marte (as per TN), Fulvio Marrucco voiced his strong preference for Osimhen, asserting that he would keep the talented striker at Napoli indefinitely.

Marrucco also acknowledged the possibility of both Osimhen and Kim leaving the club, which would generate substantial funds for Napoli to invest in multiple high-profile signings. Speculations suggest a potential windfall of €220 million, with half of that amount deemed sufficient to acquire several key players.

What was said?

“Kim or Osimhen? I would keep Osimhen all my life who for me, represents 40% of the strength of Naples,” Marrucco said.

“It is clear that if it were up to me, I would confirm both, but it is unlikely that will happen.

“Should both go away and unfortunately the danger exists, Napoli would still have a lot of money to spend. There is talk, hypothetically, of 220 million euros of possible receipts: well, half of it would be enough to buy several important players.”

As the transfer saga unfolds, Napoli has already taken steps to solidify their future by securing the renewal of coach Luciano Spalletti.

Retaining Osimhen would be another critical piece of the puzzle, providing a solid foundation for the upcoming season.

The coming months will undoubtedly be crucial for Osimhen and Napoli as they navigate the complexities of potential transfers and the club’s ambitions for continued success.
