Super Lig club admits interest in Onyekuru
The Super Eagles star has had a tough start to life in Greece and was linked to several clubs in the last transfer window, but nothing concrete sufficed
Turkish Super Lig side Adana Demirspor have confirmed that they wanted to sign Super Eagles striker Henry Onyekuru in the January transfer window.
Onyekuru has had a tough start to life in the Greek Super League. The former Everton man sealed a 4.5million euros move to Olympiakos last summer, but so far, he has struggled to make any solid input.
The Nigeria striker has a meagre return of one goal in 23 appearances in all competitions for the Legends. And the Greek Champions are ready to let him go.
Turkish giants Besiktas, Fenerbahce, Basaksehir and Galatasaray were reportedly seeking a move for the 24-year-old in January. However, there was nothing concrete.
The Turkish giants were not the only ones interested in Onyekuru, as EnSuper Lig, as per Skorer TV reports that Adana Demirspor president Murat Sancak wanted to sign the former Monaco man in January.
Nonetheless, it would take something extraordinary for Onyekuru to join Adana Demirspor, as the blue lightning are a middle table team in the Super Lig.
Also, Onyekuru stated earlier that he fancies returning to Galatasaray, where he has played his best football.
