Super Eagles defender on the losing side in pulsating derby clash

Olisa Ndah was on the losing side in the Soweto derby on Saturday.

The Super Eagles defender who is revered by the Buccaneers fans was on the pitch for the entire duration of the game.

While Ndah posted a solid outing against Amakhosi, it was not enough for his team as they conceded a late goal to their archrivals.

Reeve Frosler scored the visitors’ first goal in the 18th minute after a beautiful Bernard Parker assist.

Ghanaian attacker, Kwame Peprah scored his fifth goal of the season for Pirates in the 51st minute before Amakhosi drilled a sucker punch down the hearts of the home fans.

Ndah got a yellow card in the 75th minute of the encounter before Eric Mathoho scored the second for Chiefs nine minutes before stoppage time and sent the Buccaneers fans into a widespread silence.

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi was not listed for Kaizer Chiefs in the game. Ndah was not invited to the Super Eagles ahead of the World Cup playoffs against Ghana while Akpeyi will be a part of the squad.
