Sunday Oliseh reacts to Osimhen’s scudetto victory for Napoli, predicts his ‘next step’
The Nigerian forward fired in a 52nd-minute strike to hand Napoli the Italian Serie A title with 5 games left to spear
Super Eagles Icon, Sunday Oliseh, reacted to Victor Osimhen’s impressive performance for Napoli against Udinese on Sunday evening, Ezenwoko’s blog.ng reports.
The Nigerian star guided his team to a Serie A title for the first time in 33 years following a second-half early equalizer.
Sandi Lovric scored from inside the penalty area in the 13th minute as Udinese attempted to ruin Napoli’s party celebration. When the Little Zebras were in charge in the early minutes, Oliseh’s response to this indicated how tense he was.
The Nigerian star, though, missed a number of chances to score for Napoli, sending one header into Marco Silvestri’s palms and another to the far post.
Later, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s low shot was deflected by Udinese goalkeeper Marco Silvestri into the path of the Super Eagles striker, who blasted the ball into the top left corner of the net.
The Super Eagles icon hailed his countryman and made a future prediction in response to Mimi Fawaz’s remarks about Osimhen winning for the Gli Azurri.
“Well said, Sis. I was tense when they trailed 0-1. Leading Napoli to this title. Osimhen, in my opinion, is now in full contention for [the] worldwide coronation! Next step? The Premier League, I feel. Congrats Bro!” he wrote.

Following his impressive performance for the Parthenopeans, the Nigerian striker has caught the attention of some clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain.
Bayern Munich’s decision to drop their interest in acquiring the striker has given the Old Trafford outfit, who has been trying to recruit a striker since Cristiano Ronaldo left, a little boost.
