Sierra Leone Vs Nigeria: Peseiro drops Lookman and Iheanacho; Adeleye gets debut; Osimhen to lead the line
The Super Eagles would have to be at their best against Sierra Leone, and coach Peseiro had put out a strong setup
Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has tasked Napoli star Victor Osimhen with leading Nigeria’s attack when they square off against Sierra Leone in their 2023 Africa Cup of Nation qualifier.
Israel-based goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye will man the sticks for Nigeria. He gets his national team debut in the absence of Francis Uzoho.
Atalanta star Ademola Lookman will start from the bench, while Nantes forward Moses Simon who had an average campaign last season will start on the left side of Nigeria’s attack.
In-demand Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze keeps his spot on the right, and he will be looking to connect well with Capocannoniere winner Victor Osimhen who leads the line.
The midfield will consist of Wilfred Ndidi, Joe Aribo, and Alex Iwobi. Peseiro has named a four-man defense which consists of Kenneth Omeruo, Semi Ajayi, Zaidu Sanusi, and Bright Osayi-Samuel.
