“Semifinal ticket is key” – After beating Ghana, Flying Eagles coach aims for Burkina Faso’s scalp

Flying Eagles coach Ladan Bosso says there will be no room for complacency when his boys square up against Burkina Faso’s Etalons at the ongoing WAFU B U20 Championship in Niamey.
Nigeria secured a straightforward 2-0 victory over Ghana on June 8 to gather three crucial points in Group B.
Ghana, Nigeria, and Burkina Faso are the only teams in Group B with a win over the Etalons guaranteed to seal the top spot for the Flying Eagles.
The two West African nations will square up later on Wednesday evening at the Stade General Seyni Kountché.
And the head coach of the Flying Eagles, Bosso, has vowed his boys will go into the encounter even hungrier than they were against Ghana.
“We must approach the match against Burkina Faso with even stronger determination and desire than we did for the Ghana match,” the veteran tactician told the NFF.
“A ticket to the semi-finals is key at the moment, and we can then start thinking of a ticket to the final and a place in the Africa Cup of Nations next year.”
Only the two finalists at the WAFU B Championship in Niamey will qualify for next year’s Africa U20 Cup of Nations, to be hosted by Egypt.
