Rohr demands ₦416.5 million compensation from NFF

The Franco-German tactician was relieved of his duties just a few weeks before the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, but he feels there was a breach of contract

Former Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr is seeking a $1million compensation from the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) as he has reported them to FIFA over an alleged breach of contract.

The former Nigeria technical director was sacked last December, a few weeks before the Africa Cup of Nations. Before his sack, he was the longest-serving Super Eagles boss, spending five years on the job.

He secured bronze at the 2019 AFCON, but the NFF decided his results were not good enough.

Prior to his sack, there were always stories that the NFF was owing Rohr salaries. But the Glass house stated that they would settle all contractual agreements with the former Burkina Faso boss.

But Rohr is not totally pleased with the NFF, as BBC reports that he wants an additional 1million dollars compensation.

In an interview with the BBC, the 68-year-old affirmed that he is waiting for the ruling of the FIFA tribunal.

“Now, this case is with Fifa, and they will decide,” Rohr said.

The tribunal ended last week, and both parties would wait eagerly as they hope to get positive results.
