Premier League: Massive boost for Watford as Super Eagles star returns from injury
The Hornets are currently embroiled in a relegation battle in the English top-flight, but they have received a massive boost ahead of their game next weekend
Watford have been handed a huge boost ahead of their relegation clash against Burnley next week Saturday after Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo returned to full training.
Etebo joined Watford on a season-long loan deal from Stoke City last summer, but he has only made six league appearances for them.
The Nigeria international has been out of action for the last five months due to a muscle injury. Etebo also missed Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign as a result of the injury.
However, Etebo has now returned to full training to hand Watford a timely boost. The Hornets have struggled in Etebo’s absence and are in danger of returning to the Championship after just one season in the Premier League.
They currently sit in the relegation, two points from safety. But Etebo’s return could provide them with the spark they need to turn their fortunes around, starting with the massive game against bottom-placed Burnley next weekend.
The Hornets currently sit two points above Burnley in 20th position, but the Clarets have two games in hand.
