The Liberian attained that mark in 2000 during his time at Italian giants AC Milan. After an impressive spell with the Red and Blacks, Weah went on loan at Chelsea before joining Manchester City permanently.

While the 1995 Ballon d’Or winner recorded his mark in 114 matches, the Nigeria international attained his Italian elite division mark in just 81 appearances.
