Onuachu becomes Genk centurion, amidst calls for Premier League move
The Nigerian international hit a significant landmark for the Smurfs a few years after joining them from FC Midtjylland
Paul Onuachu on Wednesday reached a beautiful landmark for KRC Genk as he made his 100th appearance for the Limburgers in their 4-1 thrashing of KV Mechelen in a Jupiler Pro League game.
Onuachu marked the remarkable milestone with the last goal of the match in the 86th minute – the Super Eagles star's 15th league strike of the campaign.

Genk's newest centurion has amassed 62 goals and eight assists in his time with the Belgian side. The 27-year-old had a similar ratio back at Danish side FC Midtjylland, where he notched 74 goals and 23 assists in 181 matches.
Last campaign, without doubt, was the best of Onuachu's career. The Nigerian international smashed in 35 goals and provided another five assists in only 41 games.
And despite being linked with a plethora of clubs in France, Italy, and his preferred destination England, Onuachu stayed put in Belgium.
Onuachu has maintained that fine form this term, contributing 17 goals in all competitions for KRC. And his former manager Brian Priske says the FC Ebedei product is ready to move to one of Europe's bigger clubs this summer.
“He is definitely ready for a bigger league,” Priske said in a chat with HLN, as per Sports Witness.
“I thought he was ready in the summer; I think it's a shame he's not playing in England already.”
Onuachu previously made it clear that playing in the English Premier League is a dream he would like to fulfill.
In January, the tall striker Paul Onuachu was named the winner of the 2021 Belgian Golden Shoe award, becoming the first-ever Nigerian and the fourth African to claim the prestigious honour.
