Nigeria dribble-prince to take advantage of FIFA law, could leave CSKA Moscow again

Ejuke spent last season on loan at Hertha Berlin, and he looks set to go on another loan stint

Super Eagles winger Chidera Ejuke can leave CSKA Moscow on a loan deal if he suspends his contract at the Russian club, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Nigerian winger spent last season on loan at German side Hertha Berlin. However, Ejuke had to return to CSKA Moscow upon the expiration of his deal at the German club. His deal was not renewed because he failed to make an impact, and the club got relegated

Ejuke was able to leave CSKA Moscow last summer after a FIFA amendment to annexe 7 on Regulations on the status and transfer of players because of the war in Russia and Ukraine.

The law allows players and coaches affiliated with both countries to unilaterally suspend contracts until June 30 2024.

Ejuke is looking to exploit again and leave CSKA Moscow this summer, according to Wales Online.

Russian clubs have been suspended from the European competitions. As such, despite their second-place finish in the Russian Premier League last season, they cannot play continental football.

Ejuke has been linked with English Championship side Cardiff City. The Blue Birds are looking to push for Premier League promotion next season, and they have already added some players to their squad. They have already signed former Chelsea attackers Ike Ugbo and Dimitrios Goutas.

Ejuke is one of the best dribblers in the Super Eagles setup. Last season at Hertha Berlin, he averaged 2.4 dribbles per game.
