Mr. Macaroni Takes Atiku To The Cleaners Over Deleted Tweet About Killed Sokoto Student

Popular skit maker and comedian, Mr. Macaroni has condemned former Nigerian Vice President and 2023 presidential aspirant, Atiku Abubakar over his deleted tweet regarding the murdered Sokoto student, Deborah Samuel.

He said Atiku has just proven by his action that he is only interested in grabbing power and not concerned about the welfare of the citizens.

Macaroni called for an end to killing in the name of religion.

Deborah was murdered on Thursday by some of her Muslim colleagues at the Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto for alleged blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Ezenwoko’s Blog recalls.

The development sparked wide condemnation from various sections of Nigeria.

In a quick reaction, Atiku took to his social media pages to condemn the act.

The presidential aspirant had written: “There can not be a justification for such gruesome murder.

“Deborah Yakubu was murdered, and all those behind her death must be brought to justice. My condolences to her family and friends.”

But when his 2023 presidential ambition was threatened by some people who vowed not to vote for him based on his reaction, Atiku deleted the post, claiming he didn’t authorize the content shared in the first place.

The presidential aspirant’s action sparked a fresh round of protest and condemnation from netizens.

In his own reaction, Mr. Macoroni took to his verified Twitter page where he wrote that the former Vice President like many other politicians are only interested in the people’s vote and nothing else.

He called on Nigerians to see beyond the gimmicks of the politicians.

He wrote: “Atiku deleting the tweet condemning the gruesome murder of Deborah shows what we have been preaching this whole election season.

“Politicians don’t care for the people. They only play to the gallery when seeking for our votes. The people must see beyond these gimmicks.”

He added: “Every citizen has a right to life! No person or group of persons have the right to take the life of another citizen!!!

“You cannot kill another in the name of defending your religion. Do we all start killing ourselves in the name of religion?? It is inhumane and it must End!!!”
