Many Feared Dead As Trailer Falls From Ojuelegba Bridge, Lands On Car (Video)
Many people are feared dead after a trailer fell off Ojuelegba bridge in the Surulere part of Lagos and landed on a car beneath the bridge.
The incident occurred on Saturday night April 2, Ezenwoko’s Blog gathered.
According to videos shared by eyewitnesses on Twitter the trailer was later moved by a crane but occupants of the car had already died.
“People just died in front of me for no reason,” a Twitter user wrote in an open letter to the Lagos State Governor Sanwo-Olu.
Meanwhile, trailer drivers have reacted to constant alleged harassment from Nigerian soldiers.
The drivers, on Saturday, blocked the Kaduna-Abuja road, stating that they were being harassed by the soldiers on the highway.
Multiple sources claimed the blockade occurred around Sabon Gaya village, which is 7km from Kaduna town.
Senator Shehu Sani had tweeted about the incident: “Trailer drivers blocked Kaduna-Abuja highway now. Many are stranded for whatever reason they did that the issue should be resolved knowing security implications of gathering such number of people in one place.” read more
