Manchester United vs. Leicester City: Iheanacho forecasts Old Trafford clash

Kelechi Iheanacho has been spectacular for the foxes scoring 3 goals in each of the foxes’ previous three games.

Super Eagles star, Kelechi Iheanacho, has predicted the outcome of Leicester’s tie against Manchester United.

The foxes will be heading to Manchester with high expectations in a bid to extend their winning streak and move up to the 12th spot.

The Nigerian international, however, believes that with the team’s attack, the club is in fine form to defeat Erik ten Hag’s men at home.

Recall that the Nigerian attacker has delivered an impressive performance for Brendan Rodgers’s men, scoring 3 goals in their last three matches.

Meanwhile, James Maddison’s pairing with him in the attack, has successfully produced a thumping of Aston Villa 4-2, as well as the 4-1 crushing of Antonio Conte’s Tottenham.

Nonetheless, the 26-year-old said in a chat with LCFC TV that the team is feeling confident before going to Old Trafford.
“I’m feeling good, it’s great,” he said

Following the squad’s unsatisfactory first-half performance of the season campaign, he proceeded to underline the level at which the team is performing.

“We’ve had a good run so I’m pretty happy with where we are at the minute. The whole squad is doing really well, so we’ll keep going.

“Hopefully I keep scoring more, assisting more and keep helping the team to get up the table, and we’ll still have a good run in the FA Cup so hopefully we get there.” he added.

Speaking on the quality of attacks, the Nigerian forward believes the Irish gaffer’s roster can help them overcome United.

“We’re strong now as a squad going forward. All we need to do is just keep doing the right things and be strong to win games, so it’s really coming [together] now, we need to just hang in there and keep winning.

“It’s good to have fast and quality wingers in the team as a striker, so you can be free to get in the box and come down to link the play as well. It benefits us the strikers very well. Hopefully they keep doing what they are doing and we keep doing what we’re doing as well.”

“But hopefully we will stand up to it and we’ll do what we’ve been doing and be strong. Hopefully we will go there and get something out of that game. We’ll do our best.” he said.

Ten Hag’s team will aim to close the deficit with three points against the East Midlands in order to go eight points clear of Newcastle and ruin the title hopes of Manchester City and Arsenal.
