Late Sound Sultan’s Brother, Baba Dee Slams Reno Omokri Over Statement On Singer’s Health
Brother to late Nigerian singer, Olanrewaju Fasasi, better known as Sound Sultan, Dare Fasasi, has replied former presidential aide, Reno Omokri after he put up a photo of the singer during last year’s EndSARS protest on his page.
Ezenwoko’s Blog earlier reported that the controversial author had shared the late singer’s photo on his Instagram page, noting that it should be used on Nigeria’s stamps whenever a sane government rises to power.
According to the activist, the late singer had sacrificed his comfort despite battling a serious health condition to fight for the common man.
He wrote; “And to think that Sound Sultan knew about his health condition, yet he sacrificed his comfort to fight for the common man. What an uncommon man.”
“Buhari was sick and he ran to London for 6 months. In a similar situation, this young man chose to associate with the people.
“Whenever a sane regime rises to power, this photo should be put on Nigeria’s stamp.”
In reaction to the post, Dare Fasasi, brother to the late singer, slammed the former aide stating that he should respect the dead and write about what he knows.
According to the late singer’s brother, Sound Sultan was never battling with the sickness when he participated in the protest, adding that he was healthy contrary to what Reno had posted.
He wrote: “Oga please respect the dead and write about what you know. He was never battling anything at this point of his life.”
