Barcelona Femeni has 108 league goals this season, of which the reigning African best women’s footballer scored 20

Odion Ighalo, Victor Osimhen, Ahmed Musa, and Henry Onyekuru, all professional footballers from Nigeria, have congratulated Asisat Oshoala on her Liga F title success with her colleagues, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Super Falcons’ striker scored as FC Barcelona Femeni defeated Sporting Huelva 3-0 on Sunday to win their fourth straight Liga F trophy.

Following this, an array of Nigerian players from various leagues flocked to her comment section to congratulate her on adding a new medal to her collection.

Oshoala has been on fire this season for the Spanish team, who are maintaining a strong record of 26 victories in 26 games during the current 2022–23 season campaign.

The Nigerian, who has scored 20 out of Barcelona’s 108 goals, keeps demonstrating her importance to Jonatan Giráldez’s squad and has helped the side win the Spanish Liga F a record-extending eight times.

Oshoala, who could not contain her happiness, posted “Campeonas (Champions)” along with pictures of herself and her colleagues celebrating with the trophy on her social media page.

The Super Eagles captain, Musa, replied with “Congratulations @asisat_oshoala, more and more to come, amen” in reaction to this, as did Al Hilal striker, Ighalo, who used the emoji for blue love in his response. Henry Onyekuru also used the emoji for “hands up” and “100.”

Messages of congratulations poured in from Nigerian stars like Victor Osimhen, who called her “Star Girl,” and Desire Oparanozie, who wrote “Massive Congratulations.”

Meanwhile, with Barcelona set to play either English team Arsenal or German team Wolfsburg in the season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League final, Giráldez’s women are still on pace to complete a double.
