Former Rivers Utd attacker emerges top scorer, league winner in Macedonia
Former Abia Warriors and Rivers United attacker led the goalscoring chart in North Macedonia
Sunday Adetunji, a former NPFL attacker has emerged top scorer in the Macedonian league.
Adetunji, who is at Shkupi scored his 19th goal of the season in 24 games as his team defeated Renova 2-0 to seal their league triumph.
His impressive goalscoring feat saw him end the season as the top scorer in the league and one of the hottest properties in the country.
Shkupi are set to play in Europe next season with Adetunji’s next moves and destination currently unknown.

During the course of the season, the 24-year old former Plateau Utd forward also recorded five assists and was one of Nigeria’s best goal scorers in Europe.
He represented the Super Eagles CHAN team in the past and represented a good number of NPFL sides including Lobi Stars and Enyimba.
Adetunji joined Shkupi in August 2021 and hit the ground running at the club. He won the February/March player of the month in the league.
