Flying Eagles head coach invites 39 to camp ahead of 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina

In preparation for the upcoming 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina, head coach Isah Ladan Bosso has invited 39 players to the camp of Nigeria’s U20 boys. The NFF made the announcement in Abuja at the weekend.

The Flying Eagles, who finished third at the Africa U20 Cup of Nations in Egypt last month, are one of four teams that will represent Africa at the upcoming World Cup. The others are Senegal, The Gambia, and Tunisia.

All invited players have been instructed to report at the Chida Hotel in Abuja on Sunday, 16th April. Training sessions will commence on Monday.

The camp will allow the Flying Eagles coaching staff to evaluate the players’ abilities and make the necessary adjustments to ensure the team is well-prepared for the World Cup.

The training sessions will also serve as a platform for players to showcase their skills and stake their claim for a place in the final squad.

The final squad will be announced ahead of the tournament, and the coaching staff will be looking to select the best players who can compete at the highest level and bring glory to Nigeria.

It is worth noting that the World Cup schedule has remained unchanged despite the recent announcement that the hosting rights have been transferred from Indonesia to Argentina.

This means that the Flying Eagles have enough time to prepare for the tournament and give a good account of themselves.

Nigeria has a rich history in the FIFA U20 World Cup, reaching the final of the tournament in 1989 and 2005.

The U20 World Cup will kick off on May 20th, and the Flying Eagles will try to outdo their previous best outing.
