Federation Cup draw pits NPFL champions Rivers United against Aba giants Enyimba

The draw for the round of 64 of this year's Federation Cup was held on Wednesday evening, and one of the standout fixtures is the clash between Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions Rivers United and Enyimba FC, Nigeria's most successful club.

Rivers United is Nigeria's remaining representative in the CAF competitions this season and will face the Elephants, who denied them a place in the CAF Confederation Cup group stages in 2021.

Enyimba last won the national cup in 2014 and will have to overcome the Pride of Rivers if they want to pursue a fifth crown.

The Federation Cup

The Federation Cup is Nigeria's oldest football competition since 1945. It is a knockout competition that involves clubs from all tiers of Nigerian football. The winner of the competition represents Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup.
