Dawn Project opens door for 2023 competition entries


The Dawn Project has announced the commencement of the 2023 edition of its annual competition targeted at raising awareness about the need to protect the environment from climate change.

Calling for entries on Saturday, it noted that the theme for this year is ‘Nature’s Resilience: The beauty of our world’.

The competition challenges participants to use poetry, photography, music, to create emotionally and visually gripping messages around climate change as relates to the theme of the year.

Entries will be received from March 21 till June 5, 2023, with millions of cash prizes to be won. Both adults and students between the ages of seven to 13 and 14 to 17 are eligible to apply.

“From now until June 5th, 2023, participants from all over are invited to submit their best works of art, poetry, essay, photography, music and creative design that celebrate the beauty and resilience of nature. Whether you’re an experienced artist or just starting out, this competition is the perfect opportunity to share your passion for the natural world,” a statement from the group read.

The Dawn Project, established in 2020, was formed by a group of collaborators whose primary aim is to raise awareness about the consequences of climate change through artistic expression to ensure a cleaner and healthier environment
