Chief O. T. K. D. Amachree is a past Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Port Harcourt branch. He had a short stint as a law teacher in the Faculty of Law at Rivers State University (formally Rivers State University of Science and Technology). He holds LLB (Hons) University of Lagos, BL Nigerian Law School, LLM University of Lagos. Chief Amachree was called to the bar in 1983 and has since his call, been involved in legal education and currently private legal practice. He comes loaded with four solid decades of hands on experience in the practice of law.
The discourse certainly cannot come at a better time. The uncertainty created by conflicting judgments of the superior courts, including the apex court itself is a serious cause for concern to all stakeholders in the administration of justice and justice delivery.
