Amotekun Arrest 18 Suspected Bandits, Recovers Over 500 Weapons – [Photos]

Ondo State chapter of the Southwest Security Network Agency codenamed Operation Amotekun has arrested no fewer than eighteen bandit suspects in the state.

Over five hundred weapons consisting of guns, knives, and charms were recovered from the criminals who were allegedly planning to invade the state.

Ezenwoko’s Blog understands that the suspects were nabbed in Ondo town, headquarters of Ondo West Local Government Area of the State.

Information made available to newsmen revealed that the suspects had taken off from Kastina State before arriving in Ondo State.

Confirming the development, the Commander of Amotekun in the State, Adetunji Adeleye, said the criminals stormed the state in three 18-seater passenger buses.

He added that two of the buses escaped while his men were able to intercept one of the buses after escaping from different checkpoints before they were arrested in Ondo town.

The suspects reportedly concealed different seizes of knives, swords and guns inside tiger nut bags.

Ezenwoko’s Blog understands that the arrest was made days after soldiers withdrew from checkpoints and highways within Ondo State.
