AFCON 2021: More arrivals at the Super Eagles camp as CSKA Moscow star joins five other players
The number of players at the Super Eagles camp keeps growing as preparations for next year's Africa Cup of Nations continue
CSKA Moscow star Chidera Ejuke is the latest big-name arrival at the Super Eagles training camp for the 2021 AFCON.
Ejuke arrived on Thursday alongside Sadiq Umar and Daniel Akpeyi to bring the total number of players in camp to six.
Olisa Ndah, John Noble and Taiwo Awoniyi were the first players to arrive before Akpeyi, Umar, and Ejuke joined them.
Ejuke has been brilliant for his club CSKA Moscow this season, and he is expected to play a key role in the Super Eagles team as he is rated highly by Austin Eguavoen.
Unlike the rest of the players in the 28-man squad, Ejuke has no reason to worry over club engagements as the Russian Premier League is on break until February 6, which is also the final day of the 2021 AFCON.
More arrivals are expected today, while the Premier League players will arrive after their club engagements this weekend.
The Super Eagles kick off their AFCON campaign with a clash against seven-time champions Egypt before further games against Sudan and Guinea-Bissau.
