The spokesperson for Osun State Governor, Olawale Rasheed, has said his principal, Senator Ademola Adeleke, will not organise Valentine’s Day celebration for workers in the state.

Rasheed said rather, the State Civil Service Union, in collaboration with the Office of the Head of Service, would host the annual Valentine’s Day event, “an annual gathering that has been on for the past four years.”

According to a circular signed by Mr. K. Akintola, on behalf of the State Head of Service, Mr Olaleye Aina, and obtained in Osogbo on Saturday, the celebration would hold at the Bola Ige White House, Osun Governor’s Office, Abere on Tuesday.

Governor Adeleke, according to the circular, would grace the occasion, while the Head of Service would be the father of the day.

Adeleke’s spokesperson, in a statement, clarifying his principal’s involvement in the programme said, “The event was regularly held under the previous administration, and as such the Civil Service Union is only continuing a tradition that predates the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke.”
