Super Eagles fan-favourite reveals how he got his dribbling skills
The three-time African champions have a host of star names ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, but one of them is known for his trickery on the ball
CSKA Moscow forward Chidera Ejuke has revealed that he has always had his dribbling skills all his life.
The 24-year-old has risen to recognition in the last two years because of his outstanding ability to wriggle past opponents with ease.
Ejuke’s phenomenal displays have often helped his team win games after leaving defenders in disarray. The former Heerenveen winger has quickly made a name for himself since arriving in Russia in the summer of 2020.
He was a live wire in the CSKA attack last season, and this season, he has continued in the same form, scoring four goals and assisted three.
This season, Ejuke has won the CSKA player of the month for three months consecutively.
Ejuke is already a fan-favourite at the international level despite only making his Super Eagles debut in October 2020.
The Super Eagles star has now revealed that his brilliance on the ball has always been a part of him and not something he learned from anywhere.
“E just dey body,” Ejuke told Modo Victor. “Because na follow come you understand.”
“Of course, growing up like when we played on the streets and everything, it has always been like a part of me because I always play like this, dribbling, scoring my goals, you know assisting and all these things.”
“So I wanna like keep doing this because like I said, it’s something that is part of me already because I was born with it, and I just wanna enjoy my thing.”
Ejuke is currently in camp with the Super Eagles as they prepare for the upcoming African Cup of Nations. He will aim to show his brilliance as Nigeria aim to claim their fourth title.
