Anderlecht loan out Nigerian right-winger to Europa League candidates

The Nigerian attacker has not found much joy since he joined Anderlecht last year, and he has moved abroad to get minutes

Swedish Allsvenskan club Hacken have acquired Nigerian attacker Ishaq Abdulrazak on a season-long loan deal from Belgian Jupiler League club Anderlecht, Soccernet reports.

The 21-year-old right-winger joined Anderlecht from Swedish side Norrkoping in 2020 after a decent season.

However, Abdulrazak failed to make an impact at the club as he failed to get enough minutes despite Anderlecht’s lack of quality.

The 21-year-old winger made 24 appearances for the Purple and Whites since he joined, and he registered two goals and two assists.

Following his lack of game time at the Belgian side, Abdulrazak has now left Anderlecht for Swedish side Hacken. He becomes the second Nigerian player at the club after Franklin Tebo.

It will be his second stint in the Allsvenskan, and if he wants to save his career, he would have to hit his stride immediately.

Hacken have two top right-wingers in Ibrahim Sadiq and Amor Layouni, but Abdulrazak would be banking on his versatility as he can also play from midfield.

The Swedish side were knocked out from the UEFA Champions in the earlier preliminary rounds, and they have dropped to the Europa League qualifiers.
