AC Milan and Villareal to exchange documents for Chukwueze
Chukwueze will complete a £28m move to AC Milan in the coming days after Villarreal and the Italian giants agreed to a deal that will see the 24-year-old move to Italy
AC Milan and Villarreal are expected to make further steps in concluding the final details of their agreement for the transfer of Samuel Chukwueze by exchanging the documents on Monday, Soccernet.ng reports
The Italian giants have identified the Nigerian as a top target for the new season, and a transfer to see him move to Italy is expected to complete in a few days.
He will be Milan’s seventh signing in this transfer window, as they are working on rebuilding their squad ahead of what is expected to be a competitive season in Italy.
As reported earlier in the week by Calciomercato.com, Milan, and Villarreal have now reached a total agreement regarding the deal for Chukwueze, after an initial disagreement over the transfer fee, and the documents are expected to be exchanged today.
Chukwueze is expected to travel to Milan in the coming days to undergo medicals and sign a five-year contract with the 7-time European champions.
Milan will pay a transfer fee worth around £28m total value to Villarreal for the Nigerian, £7m lower than the previous £35m the Yellow Submarines were asking for.
The 24-year-old registered 13 goals and 11 assists in 50 games for Villarreal last season and was ranked fifth with 76 successful dribbles in Europe’s top five leagues.
