Chelsea-trained Super Eagles star set to join Awoniyi, Dennis at Nottingham Forest

The Super Eagles defender has been out of contract since the start of June, but he is set to sign a new deal

Super Eagles defender Ola Aina is close to sealing a deal with Premier League side Nottingham Forest, Soccernet reports.

The former Chelsea defender has been out of contract since his deal at Serie A club Torino expired at the end of June. Even before the expiration of his contract at Torino there have been talks that the 26-year-old defender prefers a return to the Premier League.

Fulham looked to be on the forefront to get his signature as he had played there two seasons ago.

However, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that the Chelsea Academy product is set to pen a new deal with Nottingham Forest.
