Watch: Wizkid shares thought on football, names his best position ahead of MLLE tour in Tottenham

Wizkid prepares for his More Love Less Ego (MLLE) tour slated to hold at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the 29th of July
Renowned Nigerian music icon Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, recently shared his thoughts on football during a visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London as he prepares for his upcoming tour. Soccernet.ng reports,

The Grammy Award winner admitted that while he doesn’t have much knowledge about the sport, he does have a favourite position when he plays.

A video of the star juggling a ball like Cristiano Ronaldo previously went viral, capturing the admiration of those present at the stadium.

In another video shot in the stadium as he prepares for the More Love Less Ego tour, the Nigerian star was spotted sharing his thoughts on playing football.

Although Wizkid’s confession about not being an avid football fan might surprise some, considering the immense popularity and influence of the sport in Nigeria and globally.

However, it is not uncommon for individuals to have different interests and passions outside of their professional careers.

In an interview with Henrie on Kiss Fresh, Wizkid said, “I actually don’t watch football, I won’t lie. I have a lot of footballer friends, and they even get mad at me when they talk about football because I don’t understand what they’re saying. But even though I don’t watch football, I still enjoy playing it.”

When asked about his preferred position on the field, the “Pakurumo” crooner enthusiastically replied, “Every position, baby! But if I had to choose one, it would be center forward.”
