Has Tosin Adarabioyo sworn allegiance? Super Eagles coach José Peseiro makes verdict 

 Adarabioyo was the club’s youngest player ever to start a UEFA Champions League game when he made his professional debut for Manchester City in 2016.

Fulham defender, Tosin Adarabioyo, has reportedly declared his commitment to playing for the Nigerian Super Eagles.

According to other sources, the 25-year-old will be eligible to participate in this month’s Super Eagles versus Guinea-Bissau African Cup of Nations qualifier.

As of the time of writing this report, Soccernet established that all the claims made were inaccurate. The former Manchester City U23 player might have had alternate intentions, yet they have yet to be made public.

While the talented defender has invited Augustine Eguavoen, the current technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation and a former Super Eagles coach, to see him play against Crystal Palace, Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has not yet met him.

The Super Eagles are scheduled to play the West African coast side on March 24; according to rumours, the centre-back is “expected” to be on the roster. With a simple “No,” Peseiro refuted the reports in a chat with Soccernet.

According to reports, the Nigerian Football body is not aware of the news.

Switching allegiance requires the player to submit a written request to FIFA, which adds to the length of the procedure. In the meantime, NFF would not deny it if he had.

Adarabioyo will undoubtedly be a valuable addition to Peseiro’s squad in their quest to restore their winning ways, given the calibre of Nigeria’s defence. Yet, every process has to be carried out perfectly.
