AFCON Qualifiers: Super Eagles coach Peseiro spotted at Akure Township Stadium
The head coach of the Super Eagles have guided the team to 2 victories in 7 matches since he took over from Augustine Eguavoen in May, 2022.
Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, was spotted live at the Akure Township Stadium to witness the tie between the Sunshine stars and the Niger Tornadoes.
According to the Portuguese manager, he chatted with the Sunshine stars coach, and the technical staff, which could be on recruiting some of the home-based players.
The 62-year-old has been spotted in several stadiums to see various matches happen live, and most of them involves Nigerian players abroad.
Recently, Soccernet.ng reported that the Former Venezuela coach was spotted witnessing the U-20 crush the Junior Chipolopolo of Zambia, the U-17 youth games from the stands.
More also, the former Sporting CP coach, who was recently initiated into the Nigerian Football Coaches Association, has been spotted with his predecessor, Augustine Eguavoen, and the head coach of the Golden Eaglets Nduka Ugbade, which implies that the Portuguese have been burning all candles to restore the Super Eagles back to winning ways.

The manager made a statement on his social media platform after attending the Nigeria Professional Football League match at Akure Township Stadium.
“Yesterday, I had the opportunity to catch the Sunshine Stars – Niger NPFL match live at the Akure Township Stadium in Ondo and to chat with the Sunshine Stars coach and technical staff,” he wrote.
Since he took over the Super Eagles manager role, he guided the team to just two victories, in 7 matches, it is expected that his visit to check on his players, and the new faces he’d be bringing to the team would bring a positive impact to the team.
