The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Bisi Kolawole has cast his vote in the ongoing governorship election in Ekiti State.
Ezenwoko’s Blog gathered that the governorship candidate cast his vote at Unit 001, Ward 8 in Efon-Ekiti, Efon local government area of the state.
Electorates have trooped out in their numbers to vote for their preferred governorship candidate.
The electoral process would be held across the 16 local government areas of the state.
Voters as early as 6 am had arrived at their polling unit for accreditation and voting.
The restriction of vehicular movements saw some voters trek long distances, with few accessing their polling units by commercial motorbikes.
Electorates on Saturday took turns to check their names on the displayed voter registers while others were in queues.
This platform had reported that Independent National Electoral Commission’s ad hoc officials arrived on time in readiness for the election, just as security agencies were on the ground.
At about 7.30 am, the INEC National Commissioner (Ekiti, Oyo, Lagos), Mr Sam Olumekun, was sighted at Ereguru Ward 08, Unit 05, Ado Ekiti on a monitoring assessment tour of polling units in the state.
