Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa grabbed the winning goal as Fatih Karagumruk came from behind to beat Istanbul Basaksehir 2-1 away from home.
Basaksehir started well at the Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadyumu with Egyptian forward Trézéguet putting them in the lead in the 25th minute.
But former Chelsea man Fabio Borini levelled scores in the 39th minute before Musa completed the comeback two minutes later.
It is the Nigerian international’s second league goal for the Turkish side since he joined them in July.
In Italy, Nigerian forward Simy Nwankwo started and assisted Parma’s first goal off the boots of Gennaro Tutino to inspire the Gigi Buffon-skippered side to a 4-0 win over Spal in a Serie B clash at the Stadio Ennio Tardini in Parma.
Nwankwo has one goal in six games for Parma since leaving Salernitana in January.
In France, Nigerian goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie’s week got even better as the youngster helped Paris FC secure a 5-2 away win at Guingamp on Saturday.
Nnadozie’s heroics, which included saving a penalty, was crucial to lifting the Super Falcons past Ivory Coast and securing qualifications for the Women Africa Cup of Nations later in the year.
At the Stade Centre Formation EAG 1 in Pabu, the 21-year-old shot-stopper could not stop Sally Julini from scoring from the spot in the 42nd minute. But that goal was conceded after Corboz, Ribadeira, Mateo, and Hocine had put the visitors in the driving seat with a four-goal cushion.
Bourdieu made it 5-1 for Paris before Fleury gave the hosts something to cheer about in the 79th minute.
The win confirms Paris FC as the third best female team in France, behind league leaders Olympique Lyonnais and PSG.
