Yaba Building Collapse: One Person Recovered Dead

One person has been recovered dead from the building which collapsed on Saturday in the Yaba area of Lagos State

Ezenwoko’s Blog had earlier reported that a three-story building collapsed on Akanbi Crescent.

An eyewitness disclosed that the building under construction collapsed into a building beside it.

As of the time of filing this report, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency have arrived at the scene of the collapse to begin rescue operations.

So far, it is still unclear the number of people trapped in the rubble of the collapsed building.

There are also claims that the building had collapsed partially in late 2021 but that did not stop construction workers from carrying on.

According to the resident, her car was affected last year, when a part of the building collapsed, however, construction continued despite the police visiting the location.
