Among the 21 players already in camp are the Leicester City duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho, as well as Premier League-based Alex Iwobi, Frank Onyeka, and William Troost-Ekong.

New Watford signing and Nigeria’s most expensive goalkeeper in history Maduka Okoye is also in camp alongside Kaizer Chiefs shot-stopper Daniel Akpeyi.

Also in Morocco are Rangers stars Leon Balogun and Joe Aribo, Cyprus-based Shehu Abdullahi, full-back Zaidu Sanusi, Nantes winger Moses Simon, Leganes centre-back Kenneth Omeruo, Villarreal’s Samuel Chukwueze, and skipper Ahmed Musa.

Germany-based Kevin Akpoguma and Jamilu Collins, Torino wing-back Ola Aina, CSKA Moscow’s dribbling wizard Chidera Ejuke, Alanyaspor’s Chidozie Awaziem, and Genk goal-king Paul Onuachu are also made their way to camp.

Three days later, the three-time African champions pit their wits against the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.
