VIP Whose Police Orderly Carried Plate Of Food Speaks, Says She Is A Disciplinarian

The VIP in the video of a police orderly seen carrying a plate of food which sparked a lot of negative reactions has shared her side of the story.

The woman, Dr Nimota Nihinlola Akanbi who is the Former Nigeria’s ambassador to the Republic of Netherlands, released a statement claiming that the food carried by her security detail belonged to him and not her.

Akanbi who is currently the chairman of the Governing Board of National Secondary School Education stated that she is a teacher and a disciplinarian.

“The truth is that I allowed him ( police orderly) to pick his food. I am a teacher and disciplinarian.”

She explained further that the allegations against her were a product of detractors, maintaining that she was aware of the importance and nature of the work of security operatives and that she would never do anything to demean them.

However, she did not comment on the fact that the security operative was carrying her blue purse.

Meanwhile, a police source on Thursday morning informed  Sahara Reporters that Akanbi’s statement was untrue and claimed that the officer admitted the food belonged to the former ambassador.

“I was told by a senior colleague in Kwara that the officer confessed carrying her food, so what exactly is the woman saying? What about the bag he was also carrying in the video? Does that belong to him also? The woman should say another thing.” the source said.
