UEFA Releases Champions League Team Of The Week – [See Full list]

The Union of European Football Association, UEFA, has released its Champions League team of the week.

Egyptian professional footballer who plays as a winger for English Premier club, Liverpool, Mohamed Salah made it to the list of midfielders in the UEFA squad released on Thursday, Ezenwoko’s Blog reports.

Chelsea’s Jorginho also made it to the list while Real Madrid’s player, Vinicius Junior is the only forward in the UEFA’s team of the week unveiled.

Ezenwoko’s Blog understands that UEFA released the Champions League team in a post via its website today following the conclusion of the group stage, match-day three fixtures on Wednesday night.

Liverpool’s Salah has been incredible for the Reds recently. The 29-year-old player scored twice for Liverpool in a 3-2 win against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, relegation-threatened English Premier League side Newcastle United have parted ways with manager Steve Bruce, Ezenwoko’s Blog reports.

Bruce departure which was long expected was announced by the club in a statement on its website on Wednesday.

“Newcastle United can confirm that Steve Bruce has left his position as head coach by mutual consent.

“He leaves the Magpies after more than two years in charge, having steered the club to 13th and 12th-place finishes in the Premier League and reaching the quarter-final stage in both the Emirates FA Cup and Carabao Cup during his tenure.

“Newcastle United would like to place on record its gratitude to Steve for his contribution and wishes him well for the future,” the statement said.
