Troops Repel Terrorists Attack On Kaduna Community
Troops of the Nigerian Army on Saturday repelled terrorists’ attack on Sabon Tasha GRA in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Ezenwoko’s Blog learned that the troops engaged the bandits in a gun duel which lasted for an hour after the gunmen had invaded the community around 12:30 am.
The troops successfully repelled the attack and chased the terrorists into a nearby bush.
Before the troops’ intervention, the bandits had initially set a house on fire after failing to abduct the owner.
According to reports, the terrorists had invaded the Kaduna community two days ago and kidnapped three members of a family.
Meanwhile, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State has blamed the Nigerian military for the influx and heightened attacks of bandit terrorists in the northwest state.
Speaking to a high-powered delegation from President Muhammadu Buhari, Tambuwal claimed that bandits attacking and killing people in his state are those dislodged from Zamfara by the military.
According to the Sokoto governor, the rise in attacks is due to Operation Hadarin Daji, a military exercise in Zamfara.
While lamenting the lack of equipment for the military, Tambuwal stated that there is a need for more personnel to be deployed to the state.
