Armed hoodlums on Saturday attacked the Soka residence of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho, in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Ezenwoko’s Blog reports that the attack resulted in the death of one and left many others injured.

Confirming the attack on Saturday, Igboho’s lead lawyer, Yomi Aliyyu (SAN), the thugs attacked Igboho’s residence and macheted aides and associates of the Yoruba Nation campaigner.

There has been a change in the baton at the Police Public Relations Department as CP Frank Mba has handed over the duties and responsibilities of the Force Public Relations Department to his Deputy, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.

According to a statement on Saturday from the Police Force, the change takes immediate effect.

The Police statement signed by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, an admin officer at the Force Public Relations Department, Force Headquarters Abuja added that Mba will now proceed on a Senior Executive Course at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos.

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has reacted angrily to the decision of some Air Force security operatives who prevented him from receiving Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Saturday.

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has revealed plans to amend its constitution ahead of the 2023 general elections in Nigeria.

The national secretary of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Senator John Akpanudoedehe made this known in a statement on Friday.

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State has revealed those who will decide the presidential flag-bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 general election.

He said President Muhammadu Buhari, APC governors and other party leaders will decide who becomes the party’s presidential candidate in 2023.

Zulum made this known on Friday when he received members of the Progressive Consolidation Group (PCG) at his office in the Government House in Maiduguri, the state capital.

Many people are reportedly stuck under the rubbles of a collapsed three-storey building still under construction.

Ezenwoko’s Blog reports that the collapsed building is located on Akanbi Crescent in the Yaba area of Lagos State.

An eyewitness disclosed that the building under construction collapsed into a building beside it.

So far, a 16-year-old boy and another adult male have been pulled out of the rubble while there is an unconfirmed number still trapped underneath.
