Tinubu Arrives In Lagos After Emerging APC Presidential Candidate [Video]

The 2023 Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, arrived in Lagos on Sunday evening.

Ezenwoko’s Blog reports that Tinubu returned to the state 12 days after he defeated the likes of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; immediate past Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; Senate President Ahmed Lawan and others to win the party’s presidential primaries.

Tinubu arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala International Airport, Lagos at 3:30pm and was received with a rousing welcome from hundreds of APC supporters.

The APC Presidential candidate was accompanied by the Governors of Kano and Imo states, Abdullahi Ganduje and Hope Uzodimma respectively.

A former governor of Borno State, Ahmed Shettima, as well as some party leaders at the national level were also in the company of the APC Presidential candidate.

The former Lagos State governor left the airport for the Palace of the Oba of Lagos to pay homage to the traditional ruler.

Tinubu then will be hosted at a reception organised by the Lagos State Government at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere area of the state.

Recall that the state government had released a Traffic Advisory ahead of the arrival of the former governor and the planned reception for him.

The advisory said roads leading to the Presidential Wing of Muritala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, Lagos and those leading to the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, which is the venue of the reception, will experience heavy traffic.

Please be informed that some parts of Lagos Metropolis will have heavy vehicular inflow due to the arrival of APC Presidential Candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Lagos State, and a reception (mass political rally) is planned for him.

“Huge Party Members would be mobilised in the aforementioned routes and the following roads will be congested Surulere, Coker Aguda, Itire/Ikate, Mushin, Odi-Olowo, Yaba, Mainland, Somolu, Bariga, Oshodi-Isolo and Environs,” part of the advisory read.
