Sowore Tackles Jonathan For Visiting Buhari In Aso Rock

Human rights activist and publisher, Omoyele Sowore has attacked former President Goodluck Jonathan over his visit to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Ezenwoko’s Blog recalls Jonathan visited Buhari at the Aso Rock Villa on Thursday with the two leaders discussing behind closed-doors.

They met about 3 pm behind closed doors inside the Council chamber.

The meeting is believed to be in connection with Jonathan’s activities as ECOWAS Special Envoy to Mali.

Jonathan is leading mediation talks even as Mali remains under military rule following the August 2020 coup that ousted President Ibrahim Keita.

However, Sowore in a reaction via his Facebook page didn’t see anything good in the meeting between the two leaders.

This is as he accused them of working together to loot and destroy Nigeria.

He wrote, “Muhammadu Buhari meets Goodluck Jonathan. Birds of the same feather! The generation that looted, decimated, imperilled, wasted, destroyed, enslaved, endangered, and severed Nigeria and continues to do so till tomorrow! #RevolutionNow.”

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has mocked President Muhammadu Buhari over the long list of major achievements recorded by his administration.

Ezenwoko’s Blog had reported that the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, had said the Buhari administration has recorded huge progress and achievements in the year 2021 despite many economic and political challenges.

Mohammed made the submission while addressing a press conference on Thursday in Lagos State, the nation’s commercial capital city.

He listed areas of security, economy, infrastructure (rail, road, etc), job creation, and others as part of achievements recorded by the current administration in the year 2021.

Countering the progress recorded by the Buhari government, the PDP said the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government should be ashamed of its “so-called achievements”.

In a statement on Thursday issued by its spokesman, Debo Ologunagba, the opposition party described the achievements as a product of delusions of grandeur and a joke of the year.
